All the best!

Some people bag the placebo effect, but it is present in all forms of treatment. My view is that if you experience a 30% improvement in your symptoms who really cares what lead to it? Nice job with your article.
The added benefit of course is that massage is one of the few forms of health treatment that people really look forward to! Got to love massage!

This is tough issue that you have highlighted, taking some time to really connect and understand your client is so important. If we can REALLY listen to our client then it is my experience that they never feel like we are wasting their time as we are finding out exactly what it is they need from a treatment. The connection between client and therapist cannot be over estimated. We definitely want client’s to “buy in” to the process, we know from neuroscience and studies on placebo that a client that is involved in the process will always get better results that someone who is not involved.

Food for thought,

Aran
